The humidity in my basement actually went up using this unit. Plugged my 5+ year old unit from another brand in and the humidity reached the desired number in t minutes.

Replacement dehumidifier

The service was quick and the representative very helpful. I installed the replacement dehumidifier and it is working great, I moved the old dehumidifier to a different location and disconnected the drainage hose. It appears to be working though with reduced efficiency. I feel I should pay for the replacement unit as the old unit is working. How can we resiolve this issue?
