The service was quick and the representative very helpful. I installed the replacement dehumidifier and it is working great, I moved the old dehumidifier to a different location and disconnected the drainage hose. It appears to be working though with reduced efficiency. I feel I should pay for the replacement unit as the old unit is working. How can we resiolve this issue?
Original Humidity Sensor for Waykar Dehumidifiers
Okay! I have this dehumidifier for six months. We bought it because we have been having an outstanding of high moisture level and molds every where in the apartments. We had it painted twice. We almost gave up because we did not know where the moisture comes from and what the solution would be.
Until I found this Waykar dehumidifier, I was extremely hesitant because of the price and I could not guarantee if it will solve our problem.
I bought the 4500 sq ft although we live in a medium size apartment because I needed tight control of the moisture.
We followed the instruction of installation and then started turning it on. In the beginning, we kept it on more than 48 hrs continues to dry up the apartment. The humidity would not go below 50 or 55 no matter how long it is on. We though the dehumidifier is no good and cannot get the humidity under control.
I emailed the customer service; they responded super quickly and assured me that I need to keep it on for 24-48 hrs in the beginning.
Afterwards, we started to see the numbers are at 40 or sometimes below (we adjust to 45, but the customer service told there is always 5-10% off).
You can see in the picture the dehumidifier sensor reads 40 and the hygrometer also reads 41.
I like this product a lot. It works well and is quiet. Just what I wanted.
I also contacted their support department for assistance and they were very knowledgeable and helpful.
