Didn’t realize how small this unit is, especially the tank. During less humid days have to empty tank once a day. Now that the humidity is higher tank fills up a lot quicker and unit shuts down until tank is emptied so need to check it frequently. Due to size, I would recommend this unit only if it can be used with a drain. Currently using in partial basement that’s about 20’x25’. Unit is reasonably quiet and seems very efficient at pulling moisture from the air. I’ll probably move it to the other section of basement where I can hook to drain.
It changes my sticky basement. Work fast, and I can really feel the difference in the air.
This unit is easy to setup if you're strong. It's a little bit heavy. Once in place, ok then. This unit to cool an area needs to have to hot air exhaust vented. This venting tube is the major down fall of this product. After 5 or 6 times of attachments and deattachments the plastic tubing starts deforming. Then keeping it installed, darn it. Walk by and the vent tube, magicly it deattaches. 5 minutes later it finally goes back together. So far we've just needed it for cooling. If you're within 4 feet it, it felt/feels wonderful, further away it's just moving air.... and good box fan would do the same moving air at a distance. We're in a RV van and cooling the back area takes the sun going down a several hours of usage!
I've had the unit for a week, set up was very easy. I hooked up the attachment hose directly to my basement drain. Works wonderful and is pretty quiet. It has programmable humidity settings and easily drops the humidity very quickly. Everything is Great and i'm very happy with the product.
