I purchased this unit as an upgrade to a previous unit from another company that had failed after 5 years of use. This one is much more solidly built. Brought the humidity in my garage down from 70% to 50% in just one day. Holding steady.
It came from China and I watched it with their shipping app. It showed up and now my dehumidifier is working as it should.
Works great. Brought my humidity from the 70s down to low 40s in a few days. I am using in conjunction with another dehumidifier. Pump works well, not too noisy.
I had 2 prior classic Santa Fe Dehumidifiers. Both broke down after a few years. I have one that still has a warranty - for parts only. Labor would have been $1000.00 to fix. I decided to try the try Waykar. This machine is quieter and does a better job than the Santa Fe, especially in terms of getting rid of that musty basement smell. The Santa Fe is a little over $3000. This was not even $600. My basement feels dryer than with the Santa Fe. The Santa fe warranty is 5 years but the labor cost is what negate the value of the warranty. To me it's not even close, I would never buy the Santa Fe again. This unit is worth every penny and so much better than the Santa Fe. The only down side of this unit is that it pumps out more warm air than the Santa Fe, but otherwise it's just a great machine. I would highly recommend this unit.
