2000 Sq. Ft Dehumidifier for Home, 34 Pints Strong

The container of condensation could be designed better having a lid at top.
When the container gets filled up with water it is difficult to remove it without splashing water on floor. Perhaps, the alarm could be set up differently for lessser than 34 Pints. Second, thought will this model last for 2 years ?

It’s very quiet with a slight whine. No trouble sleeping with it in bedroom. Has a backlight that can’t be turned off. It doesn’t bother me but if you like it totally dark, you’ll need to cover the display with something. Surprised by how quickly it fills which means it’s effective and doing its job. In my 11x15 bedroom with a window ac unit running (not insulated well), and with the unit set to 40 RH, it pretty much maintains 50 RH, sometimes going as low as low 40s. Ultimately, considering dehumidifiers having a poor reputation, this one seems pretty good. It also doesn’t produce as much heat as some other more powerful options so that’s a plus. I’d love if they designed the bucket with a spout of sorts just to make emptying a drop easier. So far so good!

This unit is much quieter than our last unit, about the sound of a fan running. It runs without making heat, our last one super heated the area. Emptying the tank is very easy. I am using it in my basement and it is full morning and evening. The digital controls are easy to use. It is making a big difference, glad I bought it!

I have been very pleased with the Waykar dehumidifier (PD160B) that I purchased on Amazon. The unit is very efficient at keeping my basement free from mold and mildew which was the reason I purchased it in the first place. The unit is very easy to set up with the hose that was included I am able to have the water drain directly into a floor drain which is very convenient so I don’t have to empty the water collection bucket. I researched a lot of dehumidifiers and the Waykar was very affordable. I give this unit a 5 star rating.
